john lennon  vinyl album box set apple/parlophone# JLB8-This is the extremely rare John Lennon Box Set, released in the UK on June 15, 1981. It contains eight Vinyl albums with all the original inserts and the 24 page “The Liverpool Echo`s Tribute to John Lennon”- a copy of the magazine issued by a local liverpool newspaper to celebrate johns life . The albums are: Plastic Ono Band,  Live Peace In Toronto 1969, Imagine (with postcard and poster), Some time In New York City (double gatefold sleeve with both lyric/picture inner sleeves) Mind Games (with lyric inner sleeve), Walls And Bridges (with tri opening front sleeve, lyric/picture inner sleeve and booklet), Rock 'N' Roll, Shaved Fish (with picture /lyric inner sleeve). The records and covers are in gorgeous MINT CONDITION! The box itself is in  very nice Excellent plus condition with one small scuff and some very very light corner wear

 IMAGINE UK 1ST PRESS VINYL ALBUM-APPLE#PAS10004-this the Uk released on the 8th october 1971 first pressing. the set is complete with all the inserts supplied when originally issued.imagine the the song most associated with john and his peace and love campaign. The album imagine has love songs and the title track but the material on the album is not noted for this content.  at least 3 songs on the album are directed at paul mccartney this in the middle of the war of words john and paul were having during this period of time . the most noticeable the venom packed “how do you sleep?”.the sleeve has just a few small spiders in the laminate overall EX condition.the vinyl has a beautiful sheen with just a few of very light inner sleeve surface grazes only visible on side1 - absolutely no spindle wear so mint- is the grading .the run out groove on side 1  has YEX 865-1U matrix and PORKY etched also 2  L G stamped. side 2 has YEX 866-1U matrix and PECKO  etched  .both labels with just the hint of colour are again mint-. as with First issue copies also  included are  the printed inner sleeve with  printed credits, and full lyrics9 in EX- condition. Plus a large (33"x22") poster of John at his white grand piano taken by Peter Fordham this is in mint condition just having the original folds and  lastly to complete the set a small postcard which depicts John holding a pig. ( another dig at Paul, being a parody of his "Ram" album cover ) this is  in Mint condition
